MT-10 Metal Treatment™

Advanced technology, antifriction lubricant additive - treats the metal, NOT the oil

Metal Treatment

Muscle MT-10..."The Original Metal Treatment"™

The keystone of MPC's line of specialty lubricants, additives and greases is its MT-10 Metal Treatment™. MT-10 is a maximum duty, metal conditioning formula especially recommended for use in lubrication systems where there is a special concern for extra protection due to extreme pressure (EP), high friction-related heat and wear conditions.

MT-10 contains no PTFE, graphite, moly, solid lubricants, or silicone. MT-10 blends well with all petroleum and most synthetic hydrocarbon oils (SHC), enhancing the performance and extending the service life of the treated equipment.

All metal treatments are oil additives, but most oil additives are not metal treatments.™

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Carried to the moving metal parts by the oil or grease to which it is added, MT-10 Metal Treatment™ creates a boundary film. This film smoothes and seals metal surfaces to reduce friction and friction-related heat. This results in less wear and smoother operation of the mechanism with no danger of build up or changes in tolerances. The end result is improved operation and extended life of the system.

MT-10 improves the overall tribological properties of the metal surfaces. Film strength is a function of surface roughness and viscosity. The smoother the surfaces, the higher the film strength, while viscosity can be lower to improve fluid flow conditions.

MT-10-treated surfaces will increase fluid film strength, reducing friction, heat, wear and energy consumption. This returns efficiency and previously wasted energy back to the system for increased power. This process, combined with the physical surface improvement of the metals, steps up oil flow, reduces metal film strength, improves the shear strength of the base lubricant, and results in an overall reduction in friction and friction-related wear.
